Jennifer’s artwork captures beauty and intense passion in life through vibrant colors - whether the subject matter is a landscape, a building, or a person. Jennifer’s paintings are strongly influenced by her background studying classical architecture in Miami and Rome; her youth in the lush tropics of Miami, Florida; her time living in New York City; as well as her travels in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Hawaii, Spain, the Caribbean, and her extended travels all over Italy.
- The Human Figure: Jennifer studied figure and portrait painting in New York City for many years. Jennifer identifies with many of her female subjects especially, and in her paintings, she tries to convey the sensitivity and emotions that women experience in daily life. She uses powerful hues to convey the feelings of beauty in life; the vivid colors inspired by the tropical settings growing up in South Florida,
- NYC Cityscapes: Jennifer’s New York City cityscape paintings were painted on site in different locations all over New York City. These paintings exhibit her love of architecture and her classical architectural training in University.
- Paintings in Italy: Jennifer’s Italian Landscape Paintings are painted from visits in Florence, Italy, where she painted “plein-air” (outdoors) along the Arno River. Here, she captures the beautiful colors of the buildings, sky, and earth in Florence. Also, Jennifer spent months in Rome Italy, studying architectural design and art history. At this time, she did a series of architectural pastel drawings in Venice.
- Landscapes: Jennifer’s first oil paintings were landscape paintings. She depicted scenes of lush tropical landscapes, and idyllic settings of greenery meeting the ocean, based on some of her travels and from her deep love for nature, trees, and the ocean, which she developed spending her childhood and teenage years in Miami.
